too/either/also
(1) too作副詞,意為"也",一般位于句尾,其前常用逗號(hào),如果用于句中,則too的前后通常都加逗號(hào).too也可表示"太,過(guò)分",用來(lái)修飾形容詞或副詞.
I like English. He likes English, too.
(2)also多用于實(shí)義動(dòng)詞之前,系動(dòng)詞,助動(dòng)詞,情態(tài)動(dòng)詞之后,一般用于句子.如果在否定詞中,also要位于否定詞之前,而不能位于否定詞之后.
My father is a worker. My mother is also a worker.
He can do the work. I also can do the work.
(3)too不用于否定句中,一般只用于肯定句和疑問(wèn)句,在否定句中用either.一般用于句末,其前用逗號(hào)隔開.
I'm not a doctor. He is not a doctor, either.
They can't play football. We can't play football, either.
too還可表示"太,過(guò)分".構(gòu)成詞組: too…to…意為"太…而不能…".此時(shí)可用"not … enough to…"或"so… that…"代替.
