　　(1)疑問副詞,意為"為什么",用來引導(dǎo)表原因的句子,表示"為什么…".回答時應(yīng)用because.

　　-Why do you like English? 你為什么喜歡英語?

　　-Because it's interesting. 因為它有趣.

　　(2)why可構(gòu)成句型Why don't you+原形動詞?=Why not +原形動詞? 意為"為什么不干某事?" 不用來表示原因,而是提出一種建議.此時不能用because回答.

　　Why don't you go to school on foot?

　　= Why not go to school on foot?

　　-Why don't you stay here? -______ I lost my key.

　　作動詞,意為"喜歡,愿意,想要".

　　(1) like + 名詞,"喜歡某人/某物"

　　I like apples. 我喜歡蘋果.

　　She likes music a lot. 她很喜歡音樂.

　　(2) like doing sth 喜歡做某事,表示一種習(xí)慣性的動作.

　　I like playing football. 我喜歡踢足球.

　　My father likes swimming. 我父親喜歡游泳.

　　(3) like to do sth 想做某事,表示一次性的動作.

　　I like to go to the movie today. 今天我想去看電影.

　　He doesn't like to swim this afternoon. doing sth.

　　她今天下不想去游泳.

　　I don't like playing basketball. But now I like to play it because I am very boring.

　　(4) would like to do sth 想做某事

　　I would like to help you. 我想幫助你.

　　Would you like to have a rest? 你想休息一會兒嗎?

　　(5) would like to do sth 想讓某人做某事

　　My mother would like me to drink milk every day.

　　我媽媽想讓我每天都喝牛奶.

　　They would like us to stay here.

　　他們想讓我們呆在這里.

　　like還可作介詞,意為"像"

　　He is like his father. 他像他父親.

　　My brother looks like my father. 我哥長得像我父親.

　　(1) 序數(shù)詞,意為"第一"

　　The forst lesson is very difficult. 第一課很難.

　　I'm the first to go to school. 我是第一個去上學(xué)的.

　　(2) 作形容詞,意為"最初的,首先的",用來作定語.

　　The first thing is to finish our homework.

　　首先的事情是完成我們的作業(yè).

　　(3) 作副詞,意為"首先,最初",修飾動詞或句子.
